Class of 2025
Hey there, Firebirds!
It's such a thrill and a privilege to work with your members of the Class of 2025 this season. I've worked with many local hockey clubs, and there is no sport community as enjoyable to be around as hockey.
I wanted to create this page for you with information, answers to questions, and more.
This is a unique project I'm excited about. The goal is to create seven distinct portraits, one for each player, using CSP's signature on-location lighting style.
Below you'll find a sign up form. This is how CSP lets you know when the hockey portraits are ready to view, and how to order prints and digital downloads.

Tuesday, October 1
Our scheduled time to create athlete portraits for the Class of 2025 members is 3:30 p.m., and we will have roughly 75 minutes to create the portraits.
I will arrive at Lancaster Ice Arena at least 30 minutes ahead of time to set up the studio lights. The plan is to not have the rink cut the ice, but instead, to jump on right away and get started.
One by one, I'll work with each player, who will get their own distinct portrait look. With each player, I'll create multiple portraits using the same look/pose as I utilize different lenses; this way, every player and his/her family will have multiple images from which to choose.
If we run short on time, which is unusual but can happen, there are other areas around the rink I can work with to create dynamic portraits.
Due to the high volume of athlete portraits this time of year, it can take up to two weeks for the collection to be published. However, I will work hard to turn the edits and final images around sooner than that.
When the images are ready for you to view, you'll receive an email with a link and password to the gallery. You'll be able to create a favorites list, and when it comes to orders, prints are shipped directly to you (while digital products are sent via email).

When will pictures be ready to order?
The goal is to have all individual pictures ready for you to order in about two weeks.
How do we order prints and/or digital downloads?
When the portraits are ready, they will be available in an online collection. All orders are done online and are shipped directly to you within 2-5 days.
How long will we have to order prints/digital products?
Everyone will have at least four weeks to order.
How are the prints/digital products delivered?
Prints are delivered direct to your doorstep while digital downloads are sent via email.
Are any other Firebird players eligible for these portraits?
I'm sorry but not at this time. The portrait session is strictly for members of the Class of 2025.
Meet Your Photographer
Dave Pidgeon, a seasoned image maker and media professional, started Creative Sports Photography to elevate athlete portrait experiences for players of all ages.
Dave was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in southern Lancaster County, Pa. He played soccer as a goalkeeper through high school, has coached multiple youth sports, and is father to three sons.
Dave's portrait photography career began in 2015. He's an expert in creative on-location lighting and posing, and he's developed a signature Creative Sports Photography style and portrait experience athletes can't get any where else.
Clients have included Millersville University, high school varsity teams in Lancaster and Chester counties, travel clubs like Lancaster Firebirds, and elite individual athletes in multiple states seeking to build their athlete brand as they aspire to reach the next level.
