Hey there, Comets! Welcome to your 2025 season Media Day. I can't begin to describe how excited I am to be supporting you this season and for the opportunity to provide you with a premier athlete portrait experience.

I put this webpage together as a hub for information and answers to questions.
You'll also find below a sign up form. When your image collection is ready to view and download, an email will go out to everyone who signed up with the link and password.

How Media Day Works
Media Day takes your traditional team picture day and shines a bright disco party ball on it. Media Day is a chance for the players to let their personalities fly, to let loose, to be their true selves.
​​
These events typically last about two hours and take place in a studio-like setting. They begin with every player receiving a straightforward portrait.​ Then, each individual player gets 2-3 casual looks, which is then followed by group photos.
​
When Media Day concludes, I'll cull the images down to the best takes, then professionally edit them to get the maximum quality.
​
When the image collection is open, you will be able to download the final images and use them for personal use and/or marketing your team for the upcoming season.
​
CSP will also offer separate print services at additional cost.
Meet Your Photographer
Dave Pidgeon is a seasoned photographer and professional storyteller who has worked in media production for more than two decades.
​
Dave's expertise in on-location lighting and high-end portraiture, in combination with his own experiences as a player, coach, and father, led him to start Creative Sports Photography in 2021.
​
Creative Sports Photography's signature style and athlete portrait experiences are highly sought after by athletes and photographers alike. He's worked with athletes in multiple states across all levels, and he's taught his lighting and portrait methods to photographers from across the country.
​
More importantly, though, he's dedicated to making athlete portrait sessions relaxed, enjoyable, and focused first and foremost on respecting the athlete.
Team Media Day FAQs
WHAT CAN PLAYERS BRING TO MEDIA DAY?
​
Bring your jerseys and game day equipment, but that's not all. Feel free to bring hats, flags, anything mascot-related, and so on. I once had a football player bring a candy red electric guitar. Use your imagination (just remember that these images are meant to market your team to your fans).
​
ARE THE DOWNLOADS REALLY FREE?
​
Yes. Media Day services and digital downloads are paid for upfront (unlike traditional team picture days, when print and digital products are ordered separately).
​
HOW CAN I USE THE DIGITAL FILES I DOWNLOAD?
​
The primary purpose of media day is to not only give your team a unique, fun portrait experience. It's also meant to help your team, booster club, and so on market your team to your fans this season, to generate excitement, and so on. Digital downloads will be high resolution JPGs. You may post them on social media, on websites, on recruiting profiles, and so on.

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS AND KEEPSAKES?
​
Oh yeah. CSP utilizes one of the nation's top print labs to provide high quality print products and gifts. You can see a full list and pricing by clicking here.

DOES EVERY PLAYER HAVE TO PARTICIPATE?
​
While we would all love it if every player did, I also understand that not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera. A player may decide that the standard portrait is all that she wants, choosing instead to forego the more casual and fun images. It's imperative for CSP to respect everyone, extroverted or introverted or somewhere in between.
