Welcome to Team Picture Days with Creative Sports Photography
Hey there, Hempfield! Welcome to what I hope will be the best media day experience you can have. I can't begin to describe how excited I am to be back supporting you this season, and I'm grateful to be with you.

I started Creative Sports Photography to raise the performance level of media day. The athletes in your family put in so much work, commitment, and sacrifice to swim, and you should expect the same level of excellence from your team photographer.​
​
I put this webpage together for you as a hub for information, schedules, and answers to questions.
You'll also find below a sign up form. When your image collection is ready to view, an email will go out to everyone who signed up with the link and password.
​

How Media Day Works
During the years, Creative Sports Photography has worked with high school and college teams to develop an efficient and high quality media day. When we're finished, the team will have a trove of creative images to use in social media marketing and to excite your fans.
​
We'll begin with the team and various group portraits (for example, graduating seniors). That will be followed by individual headshot portraits of each swimmer in a mobile studio CSP will set up in the pool area.​
​
Once the headshot portraits are complete, then the fun begins. Each swimmer will get 1-2 creative individual poses. Bring props (hats, flags, instruments, go crazy). Point at the camera. Flex. Scream. Give a game face. The possibilities are endless.
​​
Once every swimmer has had an opportunity to make individual portraits, we'll then shift to creative group portraits - friends, siblings, and so on.
​
After the media day photo session, the images will be culled and edited, then uploaded to a password-protected gallery. Here's the good news - the digital image files have already been paid for, which means you can download them at no additional cost.

Meet Your Photographer
Dave Pidgeon is a seasoned photographer and professional storyteller who has worked in media production for more than two decades.
​
Dave's expertise in on-location lighting and high-end portraiture, in combination with his own experiences as a player, coach, and father, led him to start Creative Sports Photography in 2021.
​
Creative Sports Photography's signature style and athlete portrait experiences are highly sought after by athletes and photographers alike. He's worked with athletes in multiple states across all levels, and he's taught his lighting and portrait methods to photographers from across the country.
​
More importantly, though, he's dedicated to making athlete portrait sessions relaxed, enjoyable, and focused first and foremost on respecting the athlete.

Team Picture Day FAQs
DO PARENTS HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT FOR PHOTOS?​
​
Nope! In fact, the digital files for all the final, professionally edited images will be available to everyone to download at no additional cost. Media Day services are paid in full upfront, often by a booster club or coach. ​​

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS AND DIGITAL PACKAGES?
​
Oh yeah. CSP utilizes one of the nation's top print labs to provide high quality print products and gifts, and while there are ala carte options, I also offer print and digital packages. The entire product and price list is below by clicking here.​

WHAT IF MY SWIMMER MISSES MEDIA DAY? WILL THERE BE MAKEUPS?
​
Unfortunately, due to sickness or injury or vacations and so on, a swimmer might miss media day. Creative Sports Photography will do everything in its power to accommodate your player on another day if practical.

HOW LONG AFTER TEAM PICTURE DAY WILL WE SEE THE PHOTOS?
​
Usually, culling and editing team picture day can take 1-3 weeks. This can be impacted by the volume of work, and there are certain seasons (Spring and late Fall) when turnaround times can be impacted. My goal, though, is to have them to you for ordering within three weeks, and I want to make sure I communicate with the entire club to provide updates on progress.
​
That being said, Hempfield has indicated a heightened urgency for images to get turned around. Expect to see them shortly after the photo session.
​
HOW LONG WILL WE HAVE TO ORDER THE PHOTOS?
​
As each team's final, edited image collection is finished, CSP publishes them to a central, online, password-protected gallery where all the team pictures are stored. Everyone will have at least four weeks to order prints and gifts.
